Snow in room 216??!!

It has been a winter wonderland in our room! We have been reading books about snow and snowmen. Our favorite was Sneezy the Snowman! Such a cute book. We also wrote about catching snowflakes and even wrote our sight words in snow (okay shaving cream...)! The next two weeks will be all about the Arctic, and polar animals. It is going to be such fun! Check out our pictures below!

We also did a little Martin Luther King Jr. activity. We compared white and brown eggs and how they are like people- we are all the same on the inside! We made some great connections!! :)

2015!!

Happy New Year!! We had a GREAT week back at school last week. We learned all about resolutions, goals, and reviewed our classroom rules. We are ready to finish up quarter 2 strong! This upcoming week (1/12-1/16) we will be conducting an author study on Jan Brett. We will be reading 4 of her winter themed books- The Mitten, The Hat, The Three Snow Bears, and The Trouble with Trolls. Talk about these books and Jan Brett with your kiddos. I am sure they will love this unit! Don't forget about our short week next week (no school for MLK day on the 19th and then a teacher work day on the 20th). Thank you for all that you do!! Let me know if I can help at all.

Peek at our week!
